Special Mentoring Process for Patient Associations

Special Mentoring Process for Patient Associations

In the scope of the Patient Initiatives Capacity Development Platform run by the Healthy Turkey Association, the three-month mentoring process initiated after the meeting held in March 2025 continues at full speed. Throughout the process, "tailor-made" support models specific to each patient association are being developed and implemented.

Within the scope of mentoring, not only project ideas are generated, but also multifaceted support is offered by taking into account the current capacity, needs and priorities of each association. The main areas of support are as follows:

- Social Media and Visual Communication Support

Social media accounts are strategically structured for associations to increase their visibility and reach their target audiences more effectively. Content plans are created, design support is provided, and for some associations, accounts are set up from scratch.

- Website Setup and Development

Web site design, content development and technical consultancy are offered to associations that want to strengthen their digital visibility. New sites are created or existing sites are restructured according to the needs.

- Legal Documentation and Documentation Support

Documents such as statutes, protocols, decision books are reviewed and the legal documents needed are redrafted. Guidance is provided for associations to comply with the legislation.

- Project Development and Fundraising Strategies

With each association, project ideas are developed in line with its own field of work. Appropriate grant calls for these projects are researched, support is provided on application processes, and information is provided on project writing and budgeting.

This mentoring process, which aims to increase the social impact of patient associations and strengthen their sustainable structures, will continue in the coming months by expanding with new support tools and trainings.
