Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) in the Global Media: A Social Media-Based Content Analysis, 2014–2023
This report, prepared by the TÜSEB Turkish Institute of Public Health and Chronic Diseases (TÜHKE), provides a comprehensive review of global digital media discussions regarding electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) and next-generation tobacco products. Using Brandwatch data, more than 2 million pieces of content published in 12 languages between 2014 and 2023 were analyzed; prominent trends were assessed under the headings of health risks, regulatory interventions, market impacts, public opinion, and comparisons with alternative products. The report also addresses digital discourse in Turkey and offers recommendations for policy development processes.
